DateCalcs is a small set of free date tools. Whether you need the exact number of days until a deadline, someone's precise age, or a countdown to the next holiday, each tool runs instantly in your browser — no account, no ads blocking the answer.

How our countdowns are counted

Every countdown counts whole calendar days from today to the target date. Today is not included; the target date is the finish line. So if it's Monday and the date you're counting to is Wednesday, the answer is two days. Pages show the result in days, weeks-and-days, and hours, plus how many of those days are business days (Monday to Friday).

Public holidays are not subtracted from business-day counts because they differ by country, state and employer. Floating holidays are resolved by rule each year — Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday of November, Memorial Day the last Monday of May, Labor Day the first Monday of September, and Easter is calculated with the Gregorian computus.

Frequently asked questions

Does the countdown include today?

No. We count the days between now and the target, so "1 day until" means tomorrow.

Which time zone do you use?

The page is rendered on our server, then the number is recalculated in your browser using your own clock, so it rolls over at midnight where you are.

Are the season dates exact?

Season starts use the usual astronomical dates (around March 20, June 20, September 22 and December 21). The exact equinox and solstice can shift by a day from year to year.
